| Collecting Sea Shells NIGHT COLLECTING- Mollusks do come out at night. By turning over rocks and digging in the sand you many discover a treasure. Collecting in quiet bays is often very successful at night. DIVING- Diving where the shells are of course brings great treasures. You can looks for trails in the sand, which shows where they are under the sand or under sea fans, rocks and dead coral. Usually they hide during the day. DREDGING- Using a simple wire mesh around 20 to 24 inches by 36 inches by 8 inches high can yield many shells in the sand. Pull it by rope in depths of 100 feet and wash away the sand to find your live specimens. EXCHANGING or BUYING SHELLS- It is always to find that perfect shell in a shop or exchanging. Sometimes this is the only way to collect that special shell. This is a good way to increase your collection fast. Environmental Note: All most all of our shells have been used for food value around the world and are the main food source for many people. The shells are not endangered.
