It works like this: those interested in participating purchase the Passport kit from our Society (they may also be sold at participating lighthouse organizations). The kit contains a Passport (pictured right) with 64 panels and a multi-sheet listing of participating organizations. The cost of the passport is $7.99. The Passport holder visits participating lighthouses, lightships and museums, pays and entrance fee and $1 to have their Passport stamped. When the Passport is filled, it is sent in to the U.S. Lighthouse Society for verification and hen returned to the owner with an embroider patch stating "I have seen the light."
