Breakwater, Delaware -
Constructed of brick and steel plates on a concrete and stone caisson,
this brown tower standing 49 feet in height and marks the National
Harbor of Refuge at Cape Henlopen. It can be seen from Cape Henlopen
Park.

Cape Henlopen, Delaware - The
seventh lighthouse established in colonial America. At 60 feet
tall this lighthouse was built on the north side of the Great Dune
to obtain maximum height. This deteriorating lighthouse was abandoned
in 1924, and in 1926 a storn colapsed it.
