Diamond Head, 1917 Diamond Head, Hawaii Built on the side of an extinct Diamond Head Volcano, the lighthouse is one of the best known lights in the pacific. The 55' square masonry tower has a Third Order Fresnel lens that can be seen for 18 miles. Automated in 1924 the lighthouse is still active today.
