This is the highest quality USS Monitor model produced. Meticulously painted to match the real USS Monitor Amazing deck details include: Two real cloth flags that are placed onto the front and bow and stern of the model Two cannons that can be placed on the model as you choose Top turret is removable and can be spun 360 degrees while it rest on top of the model. The top turret also has solid brass cannons Real cloth canopy that rests on top of the removable turret Two real wood lifeboats with oars that are tied down and held in place by replica davits Real metal anchor Includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by HMS Founder and Master Builder Richard Norris as only 50 will ever be made. The ironclad model ship rests perfectly on a large wood base. Includes a USS Monitor nameplate that rests on the wood base. To build this ship extensive research was done using various sources such as museums drawings copies of original plans and photos of the actual ship.
