A Hermit Crab's comfort zone is 72-80 Degrees. That's when they
are the most active, healthy & happy! They become dormant
& lethargic when household temperatures are lower due to air
conditioning & energy-saving winter thermostat settings.
HEATER HAZARDS!!
If you do not drop your thermometer below 72, you don't have a need for a heater. You can over-heat your hermit crabs causing dehydration. Please be aware of this hazard. Over 80 degrees is not necessary or a happy hermit.
