encircles the Outer Banks above Roanoke Island. Regarded as one
of the most historic regions in America, the first colonists arrived
on Roanoke Island in July 1587, mysteriously disappearing and now
remembered as The Lost Colony. This pristine lighthouse, once a
welcome beacon to sailors on the Intercoastal waters, is our 2002
